The aim of this study is to investigate the relation of ovarian cancer with miR-196a-2 expression level. Material and method: In this study the expression of miR-196a-2 in 50 ovarian cancer patients and 50 control tissue sample were quantitatively investigated with quantitative reverse transcription PCR (qRT-pc) technique. The GAPDH gene was used as internal control gene. Result: Assessment of quantitative comparison showed that the miR-196a-2 expression level increased significantly in ovarian cancer patient in compare with control population. Increased miR-196a-2 probably effect through inhibiting the activity of tumor suppressor genes. Conclusion: Based on miR-196a-2 expression level variation in tissue samples and quantitative increment in ovarian patients. We consider that evaluation of miR-196a-2 expressing level could be important role in investigation of ovarian cancer patients and could be use as biomarker to screen and early diagnosis of ovarian cancer patients.
