Polymer encapsulation provides the surface functionalization and protection of the magnetic core from environmental perturbation. Furthermore, polymer coating could enhance the compatibility between nanoparticles and aqueous medium, prevent particles from oxidation, reduce toxicity, and extend storage life. Materials and Methods: In this study, new magnetic nanoparticles were synthesized by the co-precipitation in the presence of starch. The obtained nanoparticles were characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, and X-ray diffraction (XRD). Results: According to the analysis carried out, particles less than 40 nm were obtained and starch-coated magnetite nanoparticles were well synthesized. Conclusion: This work provides a simple and fast method for obtaining starch-coated nanoparticles. LA eng UL http://ncmbjpiau.ir/article-1-630-en.html M3 ER -
